For hiking around in the woods though i have specific clothes treated with permethrin. If cutter doesnt worm id try a concentrate of that.

You can try natural deterrents like peppermint oil spray around the area if you are ok with that scent. You could try some citronella plants spread around the patio as well but it's questionable how well that would work (they do smell nice though). Lastly, a fan. Mosquitos aren't good flyers. If you keep a strong fan pointed at you while outside on your patio it should keep them at bay.
