I see Amazon matched BestBuy's Memorial Day deal =)Keep in mind the LG adjustable curved one is coming soon, which is basically the same as this one, but it is flexible.Edit - been waiting on this price drop, so picked up one this morning - thanks!

We're the same. 38" UW IPS.

Honestly, if you have the space for it and considering the steep pricing, it's way cheaper to just buy a 42" LG OLED TV and use it as a secondary monitor. It's less than 1/2 the price of this around ~$700-800 and gives you the best of both worlds. Especially considering you can keep the TV off when not needed greatly reducing burn-in concerns.

Use the 38" UW for fast paced FPS games that require keyboard/mouse and the TV for anything that can be played with a controller.
FYI - If using it for work along with games, the 42" C2, though cheaper, will not have the same text clarity as this OLED widescreen.
I tried the LG C4 as a work monitor and was disappointed by the text bluriness and I switched to a 32" 4k oled instead for a work+gaming screen.

For comparison:
32" oled: ~138ppi
LG 45 5k2k: 125ppi
LG C4 42: ~108ppi

I just got the 1440p version of this with an open box from BB for under 800. I couldn't run this one max mhz with my 3090. Max is 120 hz @ 4k or 240hz @2k For If i'm spending 2k i'd rather it be for a 5090 FE (if i can ever find one....)

I was waiting on this monitor for the longest time and knew it would have a quick price drop. But I'm worried how extreme the curve is and that I won't like it, yet the adjustable version probably won't come out until the end of the year. Just got my 5090 and want to pair it with this.... so unsure

Great monitor. Picked it up for $999 at Best Buy's BF deal last year. Well worth the $$$.
This monitor wasn't out last year, so you may have picked up the 1440P version.
