Pretty slick deal when you consider it would have cost you hundreds of dollars to play these games a few years ago. Yes, I am a Suikoden fanboy.

Bought this as a PSOne classic in 2007 on my 60GB, backwards-compatible PS3. This was before cloud saves… easily had 100 hours into the game and got the YLOD. Saves weren't transferred.. never revisited after that.

I think now is the time.

It's also this price for pre-order, but digital only from Nintendo direct AFAICT. I'm tempted, as I never got around to playing these, and old-school JRPG is a good genre for a portable. Not sure it's worth the pre-order bonus over a physical cart, though.

But maybe I should just wait for a sale and play it on a PC handheld if I'm going to go digital. It's on Steam, and I'm already planning to pick up a Steam Deck, ROG Ally X, or a no-screen portable to pair with XREAL glasses.

I borrowed suikoden randomly from a friend of friend when I was like 11...top 10 game all time for me. Both are great and everyone should play them at least once.

well worth it, got it on ps5 on release date and finished both games. Logged 70+ hours for both in total. Quality of life changes for speeding up, etc. was nice.
