I searched the reviews [amazon.com] for "heat" (filtering for only verified purchase reviews) and I did see a couple negative reviews for overheating. The rest of the reviews mentioning that keyword said it didn't overheat. One review mentioned an overheating issue but after contacting INIU, they were sent a new one that did not have the heat issue.


There's some additional Vine free product reviews in that keyword search, I just typically filter those out when reading reviews but wanted to mention incase those are useful to you

So this unit apparently will throttle down after 5 minutes of used but for $20 I'll give it a try. I also have the Anker Zolo Magnetic with built-in cable. I recently took it on a trip and it performed quite well so I'm interested to see how this Inui will stack against it.

Does wireless charging automatically deactivate when cable charging is connected like the Anker Zolo? Sometimes I just want to use the MagSafe feature so I don't have to hold both phone and battery pack

No. it has passthrough charging. It will charge and also does charge your phone

Thanks for confirming that it has passthrough charging but my question was if I am charging the phone with cable while its also magnetically attached on the phone, does it automatically deactivate the wireless charging and only charging through the cable?
The Anker Zolo website [anker.com] does mention this: "2. Connect the built-in cable to enable 30W fast charging: wireless charging will automatically deactivate "
