I have the s90 77. Died on me right at the 4 month mark. Having Samsung come and fix it soon. Apparently it's a pretty common issue. I think it's just with the 77s. Google "s90d 77 power supply" and you'll see the posts on reddit and members
I have owned only 2 OLED TVs and both of them have been LGs. My post was not coming from a place of any bias, but rather what the "general consensus" is after seeing all of the TV reviews for these TVs - which is that the S90D typically gets the nod over the C4.

I wish BB did price match them. I ahve a ton of gift cards there. But also I'm on the fence on s90 because people go on and on about how much better the s95 is, due to the extra brightness.

what about the LG C4? theres also a deal on that one and its a bit cheaper than this samsung
Some say on par; some say a little better, some say a little worse. The Samsung S90 wins best value for money OLED on rtings.

It rates 8.5 which is .1 below G4. The C4 is 8.3. Fun fact, Hisense U8 also rates 8.3. Much better brightness makes it competitive with C4. So take what you will.

Same this happened to my frame. Both Samsung and LG are well know for cost cutting. Especially on flagship lines. I used to work at a LG warehouse: the amount of reworks they did on already boxed products was unbelievable. They would ship it covered in shit if was cheaper and they could get away with it.

That is why you want a Sony oled! Sony has double the quality control of these guys!

Since no one has brought it up.
Another fun fact, Samsung doesn't support Dolby Vision, LG does.

Yes "on paper" DV is better than HDR.
From a practical standpoint, in general terms that is the case imo.
Keep in mind the difference can vary widely & not all content offers DV.

Beautiful picture, got one at Greentoe for 1789, unfortunately 8 days after receiving the power supply broke and it won't turn on. Notified Samsung and hopefully will be fixed this Wednesday. It's a common problem, knew about it before I bought it but figured it wouldn't happen to me. Been buying Samsung everything for years, don't know why they haven't recalled these. I hope it's a one time thing

Recalled? Lol it's a Tv not a car with a safety risk.

where did you find the warranty info? couldnt find it on the listing. tia

It's right above the buy it now button if your on the app. 2 year $75, 3 year $130, 5 year $170. But I heard all state only covers broken screen and is a nightmare to use. Wonder if anyone has had issues with the TV or Allstate

Maybe recall isn't the best word, taken off market until issue is resolved. Definitely hurting their reputation.

LG members store with additional 10% off Code makes it about 1k more.

Still not worth 1K more. Probably not even $500 more especially from that store. Pray you love it or got a good one. Returning to them is near impossible and the worst customer service on the planet

Most everyone uses LG panels but Sony has better processing and quality control.

The Bravia A95L is typically considered the best picture quality OLED. Check Rtings.

The G5 might give them a run for their money though. Will see. Sony has the Bravia 8 II now as well.

Agree with. I still think my B4. Looks like dog dirt. Bought from LG Partner store so no way to return.

My TV is on its last legs, looking for something but not to cheap or break the bank.... waiting for costco deals to get the 5 year warranty unless these deals are really good.

This is very tempting, but I'm reluctant to buy a big ticket item from an eBay account I have never heard of before. Lol
If Best buy or Amazon price match this I would be returning the B4 I just purchased from BJ's and picking this up ASAP

Great TV, but expect it to die within 6 months due to a faulty power supply. The good news though....Samsung supposedly revamped the new power supply so it "should" last a long time.

Is it better to buy at Sams? It comes with external speakers and 5 yr warranty by Allstate.

I would recommend avoiding the S90D at all costs if you like watching sports. I have this TV as a 55 inch and it constantly stutters and fails to keep up with the action. This is especially the case for basketball which features more frequent camera motion.
I honestly think it's a defect and this TV should be pulled off all shelves. There's no reason a $1,000+ TV should struggle more than basic 1080p cheap $100 TVs. It's like the TV is too smart for its own good.
I have tried all different settings (movie, motion blur on/off, contrast, sharpness, etc) with no help. There are several forum threads about this.
Avoid Samsung if you watch sports.
