There is four systems in the Delta 3 series

Delta 3
Delta 3+
Delta 3 1500
Delta 3 Pro

Delta 3 1500, is in the old form factor.

The Delta 3 is $550 on Amazon. There's nothing wrong with this version. It's built from the Delta 2, but the fan isn't loud. The extra capacity is nice too. I use solar from my house to charge during the day, and power my entire living room with this every evening. It handles a 77" tv, xbox, and home theater plus charging various devices.

If it works for you, that's great, and the additional capacity compared to 3 and 3+ is a nice bonus for the price, but IMO, they should have called it Delta 2 MKII, because it is what it is in reality. Delta 3 is a completely redesigned series inside and out. There are threads here on SD where people explain huge differences in design and performance btw 2nd and 3rd gens.

Some key differences are the Delta 3 Plus, it has the AC ports on the front (after having the Delta 2 for a couple of years, the ports on the front are a nice upgrade), 2-500w MPPT solar inputs and 10ms UPS (versus 15ms).
