I like my collection, and I like curating what I enjoy. I like the fact I have movies and shows not on streaming. I like that if I buy an anime it has both English and Japanese. I like how I can watch the director's cut or theatrical cut in one purchase. I like that I can share my collection with my friends and family.
To each his own, but if you come into a Blu-ray thread to state it's on streaming- we know. You're just trying to justify your own decisions not to buy and no one cares. Do what makes you happy.

I love to collect but in a few years will be obsolete like vhs, dvd.
And i can see wherever but quality chage format, tv, etc.
And you cant see or enjoy a vhs in a 4k tv.
And other hand cd music you have music a best quality and you can rip to mp3 in you old cd/dvd/bluray computer.
And used on your new mp3 iphone, tablet, celular nokia, motorola, sd memory, etc. Movies to.
Obvius your own propitie or colletion of music and movies.
Like backup.

With the prices of these sets it's quite annoying that they don't even include a digital copy code that you can redeem on your chosen digital storefront.
Blu-ray has very good video quality, there's no doubt about it; it's the latest.
There is a difference: Full HD Blu-ray is 1080p; for those screens, they look beautiful. For 4K screens, there are 4K Blu-ray discs in that combination, and the movie or series on that Blu-ray disc is remastered or produced in 4K. There are movies on Blu-ray discs that you can watch on a Blu-ray device, but the content isn't remastered, because it's an older movie, for example, from the 1970s. There are several considerations to keep in mind when purchasing. In the case of the complete Star Trek series, it says remastered because it was distributed on VHS and DVD back in the 1980s, so it was remastered for Full HD Blu-ray. The box doesn't say 4K, which would be ideal.
Now, for the price you're paying, it seems like a lot to me because if you have Netflix, Paramount, or Amazon Video, they're there.
