They said Brooks tend to run small and if a wide feels good in your normal shoe size to get 1/2 size up in Brooks for regular version.
Having tried my normal shoe size on on wide and half size bigger in regular was wild as the shoes feel very similar and similar length, but your big toe sits in a slightly different spot. Said it was common for people to think they needed wides in Brooks.
Would recommend trying it out in person sometime if you haven't previously

If you are a runner or planning on getting into it then you should go to a specialty store and have them measure your feet so that you can pick out the best shoes for you. You can really mess up your feet choosing a running shoe that isn't meant for you. A couple of years ago my wife bought some cheaper running shoes (~$110) instead of the normal $150 shoes she had been getting and ended up getting plantar fasciitis and suffering because of it.
