these may not last long -- mine makes it to a month.
And yes, those advertised look exactly like the kind I have been using.. just they come with no packaging or marketing materials.. just the guards in a plastic baggie..

I eventually decided to splurge for a custom fit appliance from sportingsmiles, and the difference was incredibly notable. It took 2 different impressions before I got a usable one, but it fit perfectly. No weird feelings in the morning at all. And additionally, because it was custom fit for my mouth, it wasn't oversized like the generic heat and shape ones end up being - so they can fit more mouth sizes.
If you look around online, you can likely find a deal for sportingsmiles or I'm sure there are other good alternative companies. But it was only $80 for the guard I got, and it was so worth it, imo.
To me there is a massive difference. Im kind of wondering how bad your dentist mouth guards are if you can't tell them apart?

I did try a dentek one a year ago. Kind of worked I guess but it does come out kind of thick and bulky for something that has to stay in your mouth overnight. Definitely thicker and chunkier than like an Invisalign retainer
