Generally works well, but needed a few follow-up sprays on a raised bed of yellow nutsedge. Sedgehammer would have dealt in a single spray. I've preferred triclopyr for general turf broadleaf control, but I'm glad I tried this.

It mentioned surfactant which I have no idea what it is as what to use each fill up
It is a wetting agent that helps the product cover the sprayed plants. My dad used to use some dish soap.

I'd stick with prodiamine for crabgrass prevention/general pre-emergent, but this controlled (post and pre emergent) foxtail well last season, in a dead patch of turf that grew foxtail in its place. I think this product's strength is certain post emergent applications, where cheaper or less effective chems wont perform as well...in those circumstances, this IS performant.

Strange I'm looking to kill Bermuda that's tsking over my fescue
Selective Bermuda control in fescue is tough. You will need Pylex (a derivative of Tenacity) along with triclopyr, multiple applications. This generally needs to be applied while the Bermuda is still growing though, at the end of the season, and can impact the fescue as well in hot weather. Might be better off with a pylex/glyphosate cocktail to just nuke everything, then reseed the fescue.

Several years, easy, gradually becoming less effective. Store in cool dry dark space (garage cupboard).

Not even in the same ballpark. Prodiamine is a seriously powerful pre-emergent with no post-emergent properties, that will provide coverage for months against germination of grassy plants, including desirable grasses.

This is mostly a post-emergent, but it does have some short term, selective pre-emergent properties, making it useful during seeding projects - it will stop some weeds from germinating, while allowing fescue/bluegrass germination.

Agreed, cultural controls to suppress bermuda can help, mow fescue tall, water less frequently favors fescue, etc. Generally you are providing fescue a competitive advantage. I discovered quite by accident, that Surflan (oryzalin) also stresses Bermuda in fescue when applied in summer heat. Not labeled for this use, but after a few 'oversprays' in a planting bed near a fescue lawn and the creeping Bermuda patch gradually died off. Cheetah Pro burns out isolated Bermuda patches better than roundup, FWIW.

Weeds have taken over my 6 month old tall fescue lawn. Can I spray this on the entire lawn and keep my fescue safe from.death?
