I have exactly the same issue. It disconnects and the WiFi icon disappears from the Taskbar. So frustrating! Updated drivers and BIOS, but still having that issue. Not as often though. 🤷
I bought a new card to put in and see if that fixes the issue. I've never done it before, but it looks fairly easy. The constant disconnects is my major reason for staying away from Lenovo, I like the laptop otherwise. I can tell when it's happened immediately. So far a restart has always fixed the problem, one in a blue moon restarting the wireless adapter works.

some people have dimms waiting for a new machine. soldering ram is an indefensible practice.

Just type in "Lenovo keeps disconnecting from Wi Fi." Lots of troubleshooting tips all over the internet.

Thanks. When I run diagnostics it tells me the Realtek adapter's not working. Found out after the fact it's a common issue with these. Usually requires a restart. It's the only laptop I have an issue with, all on the same network.
Open it up and replace the wifi card.

Just say no to new machines with 8GB of non upgradeable RAM. There's no reason to build machines like this.

There are plenty of cheap machines that don't solder the RAM. It's simply a tactic to short change you so that you think your machine needs replacing in 3 years or less.

This comes with a Core 5 processor NOT a Core i5. The i is going away with Intel's new Processors so the new ones are Core 3, 5, 7 and 9. Also, if you have a broken barrel jack it can be replaced easily for around $7 but a bad USB-C port, then your looking at replacing the board or finding a company to resolder a new USB-C port on. The only laptop I've seen where a person can replace the USB-C board is on a MacBook Air but NOT the Pro models. If these companies put the USB-C ports on a separate board then yes I would definitely buy from them but not until that happens. There's a reason why the laptops with USB-C charging ports have two because they do go bad.

I would take the last gen 1215u one over this for the upgradable ram. The 12th is very fast and i switch between laptops and the new intel chips are not much faster. My 226v barely feels faster but it does have freakin 16 hr battery life web surfing.

I agree the core i processors are faster than just the core / ultra ones. I hate these companies putting the memory onboard for obsolescence because sooner or later you'll need more memory and the only option would be to buy another one. Also, open this laptop from the center; otherwise , the hinges will break apart from the lid or top assembly but almost all laptop are made that way now-a-days. That's why there's a lip sticking out in the top lid middle of the laptop lid so you know to open it up from there and not from one of the sides.

I have a few old laptops from 2019. They are now using 32G RAM ddr4.
The laptops costed ranging $300 to $500 in 2019.
They probably can support 64G RAM but I have not tried it.
(The manual said the machine supports up to 16G but it works on 32G)

The old laptops have better design for future upgrade. I don't understand why they still sell laptop with 8G RAM in 2019. If I am buying a new laptop, the ability to upgrade RAM is a must.
