The fittings on this hose are aluminum. If you have brass fittings on hose bibs or accessories, beware of galvanic corrosion that can basically fuse these metals together. Or just disconnect when not in use.
Honestly I'm done buying these.

Yes, they are the best performing hose and they are great. But unless you are using them in a cleanroom indoors, they turn into a sticky, crappy, unfixable mess after a very short period of time.

Mold and everything else.

Seriously the best hose. I've had so many hoses. This one is great, no issues over summer/winter, staying outside all year round, and has outlasted every single hose ive ever hosing had. A+Sadly I don't need anymore. I have several of different lengths already.
I'm with you, bruh. Most pressure washers come with short, stiff hoses that never want to straighten out. I have this exact hose and it makes every job easier. It's also way easier to put away. One thing to consider is depending on your uses for a pressure washer, you might consider the 50 foot over the 100. I mostly use mine for projects that don't require a ton of length, and a 50 footer is just easier to put away, AND fits the small rack on the unit. The 100 is just barely too long for mine.

This one.

I am being serious.

Most consumer hoses are made with recycled/reclaimed resin. They bury it inside the construction. That's where you might find lead because no one can guarantee the content of the recycled resin that's sold to these companies. Most hoses are commodity products meaning they are driven by price. If a manufacturer can cut costs they are going to do it anywhere they can. That's also why some hoses aren't rated for sale in CA. In those cases what they do is make a 3 layer hose - put the recycle in the middle so it's encapsulated by virgin (new) plastic. Another way to tell is to look at the inside of the hose. If it looks rough or lumpy, that means they used recycled/reclaimed resin. that doesn't necessarily mean it has lead, it just means it's not virgin resin.

Legacy makes Flexzilla out of 100% new resin. No recycle/reclaim resin at all, even their own scrap is not reintroduced into the final product. Lead is not used as an PVC stabilizer in the US any longer. Flexzilla is MOSTLY made in the US, in Iowa. SOME of the hose is still sourced from Taiwan. An easy way to tell is if the Flexzilla logo is printed on the hose, it's from Taiwan. If it just has some numbers, it's US-made.

The other big manufacturer of hose is swan who sells under their own brand but also private labels for home Depot, Scotts, etc. most of those hoses are the kind where they get the cheapest trash they can find to bury inside the hose.

I can't go into specifics but I have first hand source for information like this. I have intimate knowledge of the manufacturing processes.

You sound like a supply chain guy! Thanks for the intel!

I've been dealing with a stiff old vinyl hose that kinks constantly, so I'm curious to see how the Flexzilla compares

Anyone know if Flexzilla has a similar water hose with brass fittings?

I ended up buying the 250ft bulk flexzilla hose with no fittings, and I bought the brass fittings and quick connects from Eley. Ended up making a 200ft hose and a 50ft hose. Definitely not the cheap option and attaching the fittings definitely had a learning curve, but I have to say the flexzilla hose is great and the Eley fittings are insanely high quality. Couldn't be happier with the combo.

Spot-on.... I have 3 100" hoses I purchased (from a recommendation ) when sears was going out of business 10 years ago for $25 per hose. Best DEAL ever. Still going strong while every other hose I have tried has already failed (e.g. Sams APEX)

Continental rubber hose from Home Depot/Amazon is the way to go. $80 or $90 for 100ft.

I got the 50ft for $50, will buy a second if I need one.
