The only hose last forever is the rubber hose from Sears! That is the only thing I missed for Sears.

Warning: These mold in no time due to the more porous nature of the skin compared to PVC. Every spring during cleanup week, a number of homes toss these out half black through the length of them.
Strange, I've had this hose for 2 years now and it still looks like brand new. Live in southern California.

I concur with the other poster about the mold. See the photo of mine. You can barely see the tubing, right? It is that bad. Yes, I use it outdoors but the manufacturer doesn't say you can only use it indoors, right? Also what do you do with a 100 ft water tubing indoors? Some Amazon reviews mention a substance called "phthalates" which contributes to both health issues and also this mold. This is a sticky mold, the stuff you get on your hands all over.
I won't say this is a bad hose to use, if you know what you are dealing with. For my family, I only use it for its longevity (exposed to sunlight 365 days a year) to divert rainwater away from the rain barrel at the base of our house. It works as I expected but I don't expect to grab it at all. I just leave it on the ground for it to do its job. When I handle it, I put on gloves. I don't drink any water from it either. That's all.

Get a rubber $50.00 hose, like a Continental. Heavy as hell, but it's basically bullet proof. 10 years is nothing for a rubber hose. You are throwing money in the trash any other way. TRUST ME.

Buy a Continental Commercial Grade Rubber Red Hot Water Hose and never worry about leaks. Been using hot water hoses for the past 10+ years with no problems.

Roll them up when not in use otherwise any hose will get moldy like this
