Warning: These mold in no time due to the more porous nature of the skin compared to PVC. Every spring during cleanup week, a number of homes toss these out half black through the length of them.

Unless put away in a garage out of the weather, they grow mold. Even on hose reels or hanging on the side of a house in humid climates, they go yuck.

Which one? Didn't know expandable hoses exist
i dont know the exact brand but here's one that's similar https://a.co/d/9nRvKvI time will tell how long it'll last but it's easy to maneuver and put away. just shove it into a basket, no winding.

I had mine for more than 4 years now. Prior to initial use I sprayed it with 303 UV protectant. And so far still looking like new. In for one for a longer range when cleaning roof.

The 100' is an awesome deal! In for one of those. I'll just cut it to the lengths I need.

We have one of those expanding hoses. So much easier to handle than a traditional hose
I have one of those. Too much trouble to handle. Then it quickly developed a leak and they cannot be repaired.

303 washes off as soon as it rains on it.

I wish my neighbors would throw away good stuff because they are too lazy to wipe it down!

That's a good point, I bought Kevlar one few years ago from Costco, they stopped selling it, it was really good, super light and never molded, much easier to roll when you let the water out, and easy to manage after 3 years still using it. I wish it came back.

You wipe your hoses? All 100 feet every time you use them?

Everyone slamming the guy who said the surface is porous.
Remember, not everyone lives in same climate as you, rolling up does not dry them, and "taking care of tools" have nothing to do with the coating soaking the wetness, and if there is no sun to dry, also there seems to be no protection on surface if it's molding.

The only hose last forever is the rubber hose from Sears! That is the only thing I missed for Sears.
Elie hoses are lightweight and last forever, but they are very expensive.
Still, worth it if you want to stop buying hoses and give away your hose repair kits.

The craftsman rubber hose from Sears is $15 or 50ft and $25 for 100ft If I can remember correctly. I have two 50ft and one 100ft, just in the outside winter and summer for at least 10 years. car run over it almost everyday.
