Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I've got a couple of the flexible 90° DeWalt 1/4" drive adapters, and they're usually great for screws in hard to reach places, but can be cumbersome, and are terrible for drilling or hole saws, etc.

I've collected a dozen of these batteries. I'd like to see more tool only sales.

Pretty good deal since the batteries are Max Output. I would add this to my collection if it was hackable. Maybe this is their way of getting around that?

A right angle regular drill adapter does the job as well

Same. I'm pretty sure I have one battery for every Ridgid tool that I own.
I went to by the jigsaw last month and I ended up buying the jigsaw starter kit with a 2ah battery & charger, because it was like $40 cheaper than just he jigsaw.

To be fair, an actual right angle drill adapter would have a chuck and would do better with drilling or hole saws.

This tool will do the job in places that none of the adapters work though.

I have a Rigid oscillating tool that has a detachable head, and I bought a Rigid right angle head that goes with it. That combination works pretty well for me.

Last year it was two 4ah max output with charger and a choice of tool for $140. I got that deal twice with two mid torque impact wrench to keep in my car for emergency.

This year price is horrible. Tariff hits hard.

You mean like one of these [homedepot.ca]?
It'll do some serious right angle drill work, but you have to have the Megamax power unit, too.

No, I mean something like this:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Miles.../300533468

It uses a drill for power but has an actual chuck, not just a hex bit holder.

It's probably enough for most people, and the people who are drilling holes for a living probably buy a quality low-clearance right angle drill.

It's called Jobmax. I also have one with the oscillating head, impact driver head, and jigsaw head. Dunno why they discontinued them. They were inexpensive too.

The oscillating heads are junk, the sliding lever blade release arms wear out, and the heads themselves wear out. This coming from a pretty big Ridgid fan.

Wouldn't mind getting one of these. I have a couple of the old 12v right angle impacts that I dremeled the battery shoe to accept the 18v batteries instead, since the 12v batteries suck. Haven't killed one yet.
