it appears to not have much Metal. Maybe screws and a frame underneath or something like that. Metal is most likely protected from water. Salt Air might destroy it though.

You buy a cheap tarp cover and keep it covered when you are not using it.
Sometimes cover is as much money as the chairs these days! Home depot covers are expensive but they are good, you can most likely find cheaper ones.

I would be much more concerned with the frame support, it's too long to not have a leg in the center, I wouldn't want to plop down on these, it really doesn't look sturdy, especially not 750lbs as in like you can have a 300lbs friend sit in the middle without worrying if it will handle the weight or not. Probably 300's on the edges, and maybe 150lbs in the middle..

But man for $100 bucks, it's definitely worth a try even if it lasts one summer.

The weight of the sofa is 53 pounds. If you take away 13 pounds for the cushions and wicker, that's 40 pounds of steel in the frame, which should be very sturdy. When checking the reviews, many said it was heavy, but there were no comments about it being weak.

In that case it could be visually misleading because legs seem too far apart and angled outward. Anyway I found set of two ottomans got them from same brand. I was looking for some wicker ottomans.

at this price, the metal is likely NOT well protected. Cheap paint without primer at best.

Just a guess, and they probably don't weigh that much, but I was being conservative.

I don't know about this one, but I got the footrest/ottomans from same brand and very similar wicker, it looks decent to me, not the sturdiest because the bottom supports are not solid metal just thin bands of metal but it's just for foot (although says it supports 250lbs, there is no way I would ever recommend any 1 250lb person stand on these) but it's a decent quality cushion and it even came with ratcheting allen key! What a surprise!
