I just tried dollar store suction hooks an they don't work in shower... Was just looking for a name brand to see if they work

I've had bad luck with the plastic mechanism that interfaces between the holder and the 3M strip, i.e. the bit that locks the thing to the wall. I don't beat on my stuff but I've had them crack and fail. All these 3M shower products seem to be engineered to fail, there's a tiny tab that holds it all together where they could have just as easily put something 1-2mm thicker.

Ever complained to them? Write a letter and ask for engineering? Maybe they'll send you a replacement.

These are great. Takes me one minute to wipe down all walls and doors after shower. Keeps soap scum from building up.

no need. this is not the first time this item got posted here. this item 3m brand got horrible reviews. designed to fail like the reviews said. i did skim through those reviews the last time this item was posted. they are legit. no blade replacement.

I have a Walmart brand one and I think that it is 10 times better than this one it uses a suction cup that adheres great to the glass door.

We have squeegees in multiple bathrooms, I just wipe the door with my towel, it's been years and nobody has figured it out yet...

Unless you have a detachable shower head I'm not sure how you would go about accomplishing this? Squeegee is quick and easy. It's purpose is to keep clear glass doors looking clear and it works great.

This is for places with hard water. It's not to get the soap off, but the water/moisture. If you live in a place with hard water / well water and don't squeegee, you'd understand 😋 crystal clear glass becomes opaque in just months without one.

No, I don't care enough and it's not really worth the time 🤐 I think they know what they're doing though. At the price point they sell it at, they couldn't afford for it to last a lifetime. If you've seen the little tab I'm talking about, you'd probably feel the same way - it's engineered to fail.
