The price looks great, but non-touch is a deal breaker for me - and the price jumps significantly if you try to switch to a touch screen. Military deal might work on top of the existing discounts?

Anywhere to see this laptop in person?
Costco has a different configuration but would look exactly the same except for the display if that's what you want to check out.

Any opinions of the screen quality? I was looking at the Envy X360 with 100% sRGB and idk if that blows this out of the water or something.

It must be really subpar since it needs 'plus' AND 'ultra' in its name.

No laptop can get pass 4-5 hour life, I don't care if they advertise it 15 - 20 hours, it's BS.

Actually they can...
A FHD requires less power than a 4K Screen...Make sure you really need a 4K screen.
Enabling HDR for Utlra Deep Blacks...Lots more Power.

Most laptops have Power Profiles....controlling max peak usage and how low and how often it drops to lower power. For general usage, you won't notice a difference but may hiccup games. Again some just turn on the max profile and wonder why battery is lower.

And a Dedicated Graphics card will suck power quickly...often jumping in when not really needed and using power.

And everyone whining about 300NIT screens who set the brightness on the 600NIT screen to 600NITs all the time use quite a bit more power. (Most laptops have 250NIT, which admittedly is rouch outside or in direct light...but folks crank even when not in direct light.)
