This is not deal and is a ripoff. You are much better buying the real deal concentrate and mixing your own. Use the stuff the pest control people use versus the homeowner soaking class stuff that makes a corporation wealthy with your hard earned cash
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C1Q39...asin_title

Price here for this product is tens time as much at $8.50 a gallon versus $0.84 per gallon for the professional concentrate.

$1.68 for two gallons versus $17.

For $6 more you get 30 more gallons or more depending the ratio needed. The cost of a sprayer is easily swallowed up by the savings.

I've purchased and used this before, the product itself is very good as far as insect defense goes but the engineering of the battery-operated pump/wand is woeful... at least 75% of the time it just flat-out does not work, so be prepared to pour the solution out of the jug it comes in and into a different spray bottle for application.

Your argument has me wondering why don't you go full convenience and pay a pest control company so you do not have to manage anything in your personal life if it may take a little knowledge, work and/or effort?
Let common sense be your guide. There's always a sweet spot with effort vs. reward. Some peoples' time is worth more to them than others. Pest control companies charge about $50 a month (that's the average I've seen in my area) and rope you into a year long contract (not needed in my area). I'm already going to Lowes/HD/Menards/Walmart on a fairly regular basis and this shit is always sitting in a pallet for $8. Cheap and easy enough to use myself with a battery operated wand. These companies aren't dumb and they aren't "evil" or whatever people in this thread have suggested for offering this. They're selling both a product and an easy-to-use format. It's literally a win for everyone except the curmudgeons that need everyone to validate their various bootstrapping/historical re-enactments they perform in their garages. Hope this explanation helps, everyone else gets it but you otherwise this stuff wouldn't sell 😜.

Yet you made the argument ease is priority and insinuate what I am saying is some extreme or ridiculous position. You are the one that will be you running to the store for the for the next five to ten years and maybe facing price increases. That is much more work than I will have and more unnecessary loss of cash and time.

Your argument is the fast food argument and it is an argument that keeps many people poor. Of course it is easier to have somebody else do everything or you but it will cost you. Personally i have found great value in learning how to manage most all the stuff I need to do around the house . I estimate that that has saved me over a couple hundred thousand over my lifetime and made me a much more capable and useful person to myself and those around me. My neighbor pays a thousand for basic kitchen faucet mine cost $70 and some little time reading and learning. One way was definitely easier if you only value ease and convenience and many people consider that sweet spot yet their finances may not be so sweet.

These jugs are win win for the companies. They give you a weak ratio with the intent of not getting rid of the problem so you must buy more. I tried using them for many years and they would be effective for only a short while and the ants would be back. I would have to apply multiple times per season and it still would not stop the problem. When I switched to the much cheaper concentrate it solved my ant issue immediately and for an extended period of time after one application. I did not have to apply to the third year afterward.

The problem is that the behavior you're exhibiting is taboo anywhere else on this site. People rightfully get shit on for going into macbook threads and saying they're overpriced and worse than PCs. That's because no one gives a shit about your opinion about whether the product is useful when plenty of people already find it useful. They care about whether this is a good price for the product in question. For some reason you guys in the home improvement/tools section think that people care about your extreme DIY positions that make you feel like pawpaw clampett back on the farmstead. Again, this stuff wouldn't sell by the millions of jugs a year if people didn't find it a good tradeoff of price vs. effort. An $8 jug that lasts the season isn't making anyone poor and this has worked great for me every time I've used it. Goody for you if you think you've found something that works better for your application and needs, but that has nothing to do with this deal.

It is far from taboo to discuss deals on deal site. It is not taboo to share alternatives that give better value on SD. The site has always did that and it is in fact how I found out about the concentrate. Pest control products have everything to do with a pest control product topic. If we just advise everyone to pay the price of the ad or that we can only buy and use the product in any particular deal just because that what our particular preferences are the site is of little or no use. Here is what the site says about it.

Commenting in threads is so important, as it's what helps keep our site authentic. It's what helps make our site different from other deal sites and you are what makes our site what it is. Commenting is how you can let other members know if you think that the deal is a great price, or if you've found it cheaper elsewhere. It's how you can tell us if you've used this product, and if you love it or hate it. Commenting is how you can let us know your opinion of the merchant or brand itself and it's how you can interact with other members and just have fun. So don't be shy, come on out and say hello!

In an effort to regain the friendliness the forums had when it opened we are instituting a new policy against "thread crapping." Thread crapping refers to any post such as this deal sucks, this isn't a deal and so forth WITHOUT backing it up. If you back up your statements with reasoning or links that is perfectly acceptable. Anyone bashing these type of posts will have their posts deleted.
That second clause of the second paragraph says what you do is taboo yet you do it. The real problem is you just worry about your feelings and contribute little or no real information to a discussion about a product. You drag in personality and talk about people versus products and than dare to tell the community what you consider taboo. You discuss just what you like to do and get affronted if somebody has other ideas. The site is not about your set in stone shopping habits. You could have read what I said and chose to ignore it if it is not your preference. My thoughts if anything are more sensible than yours if your top priority is always ease. Did you ever consider maybe some people do not have the budget for ease you do?

Do notice non emotionally and feelings centered people seem to like my information and my one comment has gained almost the amount of rep in one post that you have in 14 years on the site. I'd argue that that shows you who knows what the site is about and who does not. I care little if I can not help stuck in the mud and lazy mindsets but do take great take pride in helping more open minds to save hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Please do not tell me what the site is about you are the one that seems to not have figured that in 14 years. Goody for you that you have to run out burning gas, buy 32 plastic jugs to then toss them in landfill and pay $350 for what I pay $25 for, as figuring out a tank sprayer is just to much for your peace of mind and life of ease and inability to step out of the routine.

You know what, I just realized I'm having a discussion with someone who's about to be eligible for social security. I guess enjoy the thrills you can while you still have time, sir. Life is short, especially when you huff chemicals in your garage to stick it to Big Pesticide. LMAO.

I'm not trying to stick it to big pesticides and don't overly worry about chemicals like you do. I thank the companies for making the stuff available but that does not equate to me having to be a fool and sticking it to myself when sales teams and marketers figure out how to get the absolute most from the consumers by selling you a weaker and less effective product at a 1000% higher price.

I am glad you brought this up as I want to make something clear. Earlier in our conversation you seem to say or strongly insinuate that the premixed form is safe yet using the concentrate brings me and anybody else using it great danger. You are doing the same again in your post I am responding to now.

Just so you know and for informational purposes and so you do misguide anyone. Both contain the same chemical and everyone must take the same precautions I do. Just because you like the premix it doesn't magically make the chemicals in it safer or different. You must get things clear in your head and understand and realize things before you advise, lecture and confuse others.

Your premixed formula is weaker but you do still need to take the same precautions. I really hope you did not quide anyone into thinking the stuff perfectly safe as it is premixed in a jug for you. I know that life of ease is of all importance to you but we must have some common sense.

I'm with you. That was just how I found out about the concentrate many years ago. The site and its helpful and contributing members have guided me to many things maybe not the ones in the posted deal that have saved me tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years.

Bit shocked that we have members that assume you only get to like the posted product and can't talk of alternatives.
