Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Just store your data on an external SSD. 256GB really isn't that small for your apps + streaming content.
Id probably have to. It's just silly that that sort of irritation would be required on a brand new laptop, and I'm still not sure if its worth it or just go with a cheaper windows laptop.
I've never used mac before either.
The 256gb is a bummer. It will get filled up in the first week of ownership. Pretty sad seeing a 2tb nvme go for $120 online. I won't ever understand apple.
I just need to understand how to configure my iMessage storage. I want to have ALL my iCloud imessages stored on my phone where i have the largest amount a storage and then on all my macOS products just use the last year or so..is that possible? I feel like i have a few hundred gigs of on board storage on my iPhone dedicated to iMessage and it carries over to my Mac mini, air and studio. Can i set them to a year and reclaim the space? Also, if iMessage is stored in iCloud why arent they considered iCloud storage!? Makes no sense

If it was 16", the same (or higher) resolution and the same price, then it might kill all other laptops because of its cpu.
Edit: I was wrong. Just saw another laptop on slickdeals for $600 HP OmniBook X Flip Laptop: Ryzen AI 5 340, 16" IPS Touch, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD $600 + Free Shipping. The m4 cpu is excellent but can't be $250 better than the Ryzen AI 5 340. However people said that the HP display is bad.

Imessage cloud sync IS considered against your iCloud storage. Look under iCloud in your account and you'll see Messages total under "Saved to iCloud".

I understand they need to make money but extra $600 for a 2tb is crazy. Especially since people have shown nvme enclosures with Gen 4 drives get the same speeds or better.

there are people who have re engineered their storage devices on the mac mini and they sell the re engineered version that you can swap out, their memory is basically just lightly modified standard stuff to prevent it from being standard and user replaceable.
