Yeah I just used warranty on 1 of the 3 we have. It's was literally 1 week before the 5 year mark. Service request was very easy online and got it repaired within 4 days.

I have the one with the mirror instaview and 4 diff ice (3 if you don't include crushed)

Mirror gets dirty so easily with fingerprints, not sure if it's because mirror or instaview

Also the instaview door is heavy and requires a harder push to close the it

Otherwise I like the fridge

Wow!! pretty good pricing. Most places it is around $2800. Good find OP. Dont know if this is a linear compressor or regular. Their parts website would bring anything for this model.

Pretty sure mine came with a 10 year linear compressor warranty. May be 5 on labor though.

I researched this pretty thoroughly when I bought my LG fridge a year and a half ago, and when I bought my fridge then, they had officially started using the newly designed compressor. Not a guarantee that it won't have problems of course but at least they weren't sticking with the absolute atrocity that was their old one.

Mine died in thirteen months and getting LG to even come will cost money and they won't come and you will find calling them to get support is worse than trying to get Google to help you with a lost password… LG appliances are horrible.

That's pretty much outdated info. They have made 3 major upgrades to the compressors in the last 10 years. The most recent one about 4 or 5 years ago and their failure rate is now equal to our even slightly less failures than standard old style compressors from other manufacturers. And the electrical efficiency of an inverter compressor is massive
