I just ordered W95. Higher refresh rate + I like the Panasonic brand.My brand perception is due to a Panasonic Tv that I bought in the early 2000s, have since given it to a family member and it's still running like new.

This is better for gaming. The Panasonic does not support Variable refresh rate and local dimming at the same time. This one does.

Yes. U8 is much better. U6 is an ok budget set if you are looking for that. Have a U6G in my basement and it is surprisingly decent for the money. I'd try to get at least the U7 though if this is your primary viewing location. Check out rtings reviews for more.
