When it has an AC Smart PIN and Thinderbolt 4 can you charge the laptop from either?

How does it compare to this? Currently out of stock for delivery but exists at several of my local Costco's.

I'm not in love with this build nor price, but if your only concern is RAM, that's an easy upgrade.

In a random coincidence, that's the laptop I just bought the other day. I'm using it now. The specs look similar other than the CostCo version having 32GB of RAM.

What I can tell you after a few days is that even though I just dropped down from an Asus with a 4070, I'm enjoying the HP Omen more. So, I don't think you can go wrong with either Omen. Personally, I really needed the extra memory since I keep plenty of open tabs on my browser.

You can charge from either, though you'll need the AC when gaming or running high loads since the USB C maxes out at 100w.

I have the Asus equivalent and love the USB C charging, I mostly only use my laptop on the go and I use the GPU more for photo editing than gaming, but if I game on the go, 100w keeps it running for long enough that I'm fine with it; it's like 10% drain per hour when on 100w USB PD charging and gaming, which is more than enough for me and beats lugging the giant AC adapter around. During normal use 100w is more than enough.

It's for easier windows hello (window's equivalent of FaceID) login. Infrared works even when there's poor lighting.

How about this version of the Omen from Costco with 32GB of RAM? It's sold out online, but they still have them in store.
