With the M4 Pro chips available, this is not a very compelling deal anymore.

It depends on your workload. For a general use machine, there will be no noticeable difference in performance. If you have tasks that require high memory capacity, then the M2 MAX Studio may deliver better results. But the M4 Pro is better in single and multi-core performance, and has higher memory bandwidth.

In either case, the efficiency of the M4 Pro (power per unit of compute) will utterly trounce the M2 MAX.
