I've been using a cheapo Lenovo mouse for 13 years and still going strong. I opened-up it up and removed the ratchet on the mouse wheel.

The G502X is the newer shape with some minor changes and optical switches that shouldn't double click. I did have a battery die in a G502x lightspeed in the first year, but they replaced it.
But this guy you are responding to is right, logitech mice do not last like they used to. This is my 4th G502 SE mouse due to the switches glitching and starting to double click.
If it works for you and your OK with its cost then you do you, I know lots of people choose cosmetics over function.
However I had it and sent it back.
It caused feedback hum in my speakers, I could not use my oversized desktop mat in conjunction with it without having a really janky setup that was not comfortable to use.
I was not willing to give up my ultra comfortable mat to use this instead, etc.
Returned it to Amazon where I got and, and got a basic $20 mouse charging dock that uses the power play puck to do magnetic charging.
That has worked perfectly for me, I use a G502 Lightspeed at work daily for 8 hours a day and all I have to do is charge it once a week and the battery never died.
If this mouse with RGB has a higher battery demand, I am sure you will be fine to still only charge it once in a while (even if just at the end of the day).
Its so fast and easy to dock it when your done for the day. Much better than the mat IMO.
We took a step back in technology, making things more gimmicky than they need to be.
The charging dock also has a USB port on it so you can put the wireless dongle right near the mouse to minimize interference/latency.

I did consider it though.
