The processor is more than enough for gaming. It pairs nicely with the RTX 4060. You won't find anything cheaper for a prebuilt.

Nice deal

Is it? I'm trying to get something cheap for my kid but I'm reading that the processor in this isn't very good for gaming.

I believe the same OP posted this same desktop straight from MSI 5 days ago at $850 and it received a decent amount of love, and now it's $150 lower from NewEgg. So this deal seems legit for current prices.

This is the best rtx 4060 deal I've seen in the last two months. Also looking for deal for child and sun 1k, the options are rtx 4060 and rx7900. The only differences in the different build are ram and ssd sizes.

For comparison, I got a Costco cyberpower i5 14400f, 32gb ram and 2tb drive for 899 two weeks ago.

Bought this and intend to return that.

2x16gb ram is around $60-80 if that becomes a bottleneck for him. The 2tb ssd is a QoL issue. He can deal with it for such a price difference.

MSI also allegedly have better build quality than cyberpower.

can I add another 16G memory into it by myself? it seems like it only has 2 memory slots which are taken by 2x8G, so, to increase memory, I have to replace one of them w/ another 16G to get a total of 24G, or replace both 8G w/ 16G

This one comes with 2x8gb ddr5. So you would have to get 2x16gb unfortunately. If it came with 1x16gb it would have been better. But 16gb for this set up is good enough IMO.

This seems like a pretty good deal for a prebuilt even with the entry level specs. CPU + GPU + Mb+ RAM alone is probably at least 600, even if the 4060 is only 8gb

This would be very good as a kid's gaming computer or a secondary PC.

If i was willing to build it out or something similar, what would this run price wise?

Got a link?
I don't see any deals for Allied Stinger systems at Best Buy for $599. CHeapest system I see is $879 for awful specs.

The parts for this system would run something around $$750-850.
The 4060 alone min price I see is $340.

This will get anyone's foot into quality 1080p gaming and 1440p for less demanding/esports titles at a solid price.

The CPU is fine, and can easily be upgraded down the road.

I want to throw my other 2 pc's down the stairs and buy this. graphics card is a bigger deal now adays, processors are more than fast enough. i'd go ahead and get more ram to start though just because.
