After using all the Elegoo filaments, only buy the Pro if you are looking for detail - it's great but you really do need to print very slow for the intended result. Their rapid pla+ is the product to get if you want to print fast

Snagged this last time it was available. Bought it over Elegoo's PLA+ because it was a better deal (less money with a higher MSRP). I had previously had their PLA+ and figured this could only be better.
this has given me so many issues with my printer that no other filament has. It's also very rigid so keep that in mind. I now use it as prototyping filament as I try to burn through the 8kg I have. Good quality stuff for the price, just be sure you use it correctly and don't except it to work like a fast printing filament.

The only speed setting I've ever changed on my printer is the first layer (I cut it in half from whatever the default is). Otherwise I use standard "generic PLA" settings in bambu slicer, and this stuff prints just as well for me as any other filament.

I know that's not what you're saying, but just thought I'd toss that out there for anyone else who prints the way I do lol. I just kinda resign to letting prints take as long as the slicer assigns to it and I have a great time with this filament.

I found heating this to 220 helped a lot. Had numerous issues before and at least now I can get some consistency. I also have fans on even on first layer... This filament is very finicky compared to other PLA

It depends on the printer's hotend and temperature. The difference between this standard PLA and high-speed filaments is not that big, it's somewhere between silk PLA and high-speed PLA.

PLA "pro" isn't for detail it is for toughness. Same as other brands PLA+.

You get this if you want to print firearms.

Otherwise pass. You can get Black PLA for less than $10 a roll so if you don't need the strength look elsewhere.
