It's so overhyped. It is a decent scent at best with absolutely poor longevity. You have to spray a lot for it to stay even couple of hours. At least that's been my experience buying last time from Costco.
I also vouch for this. I actually love the scent but the longevity is absolutely horrendous so I ended up returning it.

Got this as a gift 2 years ago. It wasn't from costco tho. Mine lasts a very long time. Can still smell on the clothes next day and more. Guess i got lucky.

It's too bad that they've cut back on the quality. I bought my bottle about 10 years ago and it's got great longevity and I get more compliments from this cologne then I do from my other 30 plus colognes put together.

I'll be buying my hubby some Jovan Musk and a bottle of Jade East or Brut for Father's Day. Well, if I can still find that crap.

My very subjective opinion:

I bought a tester set from Creed and it came with Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Original Vetiver, and Millesime Imperial. The idea was to buy the winner from Costco.

Aventus, is indeed overhyped. And the fragrance it inspired, Dior Sauvage, does a better job IMO. I ended up going with green irish tweed.

I agree GIT is so much better. Viking is also really good.

If you want long lasting scents, buy it from big department stores like Nordstrom. Vostok version doesn't last few hours but other major department stores can last a day

Or just buy 6oz of cool water for $40

Yes, THE Costco sells fake stuff…

In this case, it isn't necessarily fake but perhaps not really as good as the full priced stuff.

Notice the many comments from people that the Costco purchased ones didn't seem to have the same lasting power that department store units do.

I will provide another example. The Banana Republic clothes are licensed (real) but not produced by the folks that produce the products for the retailer. In fact nearly all of Costco's clothing items are produced by the same people regardless of the branding on the label.

Does that make them real? No, not really but they aren't real fakes either.

Anyone here buy cologne from Costco? Any issues with longevity or authenticity?

One of the most overhyped scents ever. The aventus cologne smells so much better than the og. Not worth the price anymore imo
