I have 24 of these installed in my home and not had any issues. The night light version of these lights caused a humming noise, however, so I stayed with the basic ones. These are compatible with Kasa dimmer switches even though it's not advertised to be so. Lastly, the lights are still fairly bright to be a night light for small children. It's a good dim at the lowest setting but just not for a night light.

I bought a bunch of extras for that purpose. They are cheap enough to have some spares for the future. I have 20+ installed for a few years and none have failed yet.

Quality control is iffy based on reviews. I recommend installing with wagos, so you don't have to struggle so much to replace it.

We installed 4 of these brand (6 inch) in a 10x11 room recently and they function well. Just note they are a few clicks brighter than I would want with 8ft ceilings. Get a dimmer installed if needed or aim for lower lumens

How easy to install these? I have some recessed lights in my house I'd like to turn into smart lights. Should I start with a smart light switch first? What's the advantage of these?
If you already have cans in place, I would use the retro fit lights instead of these. Essentially you just screw in the new ones

I find the lights get dimmer over time. The brightness that I would get at 50% dimming is what I get with 0% dimming now. These were installed about 3.5 years back. Have others also experienced the same

Can't talk for this brand in particular but last time I bought cheap ones had many failed. I installed 30+ and had 8 or so fail. Contacted warranty and they sent me an extra box of 12 but the failures were in the power supplies so I had to take them apart and reconnect the new ones if you take into account the electrician fees these are not so cheap

I bought these in 2021 and these were AMAZING. I bought again in 2024 and they were EXTREMELY different. The quality went to absolute shit.

3.5 years without an issue until now? I'd say that was a solid buy.

What's the best configuration when you install theses on an 10'x12'x8ft ceiliing? 1 on each corner, total of four? How far off the wall should I install these when I have a ceiling fan (no light on the fan) in the center of the room?

Are Can fixtures better to have installed in the long run?

People like you are sad, wake up looking for stuff to be mad about. No need to reply unless your ego won't stop you thus proving my point.

Skip these and find "deep baffle" style. They're actually recessed rather than being flush with the ceiling so there isn't a ton of glare.

The only extra flexibility you get from the wafer style is that you can place them directly under a joist, whereas the deep baffle you cannot

Significantly better. Get 4" cans and then go for Halo RL4
