Pretty much all that inflate to a set pressure without a reservoir have to thread on by default. That's because a poorly-attached chuck that's not sealed could lead to them pumping until dead and then letting all your air out… stranding you. That said, I added a "Skog Chuck Mates Speed Clip for inflators" to mine and it works great. Just make sure you don't hear air coming out of the chuck and you see pressure on the screen before you start it and walk away.

Do recommend if you're on the fence. I use it all the time between a riding mower and a tire with a really slow leak. Plus very few carry an inflator with them and it's always nice to lend a helping hand.

Screw in is better for this application and device.
Couldn't disagree more, especially the way my valve stems are surrounded by the outside of the rims.

Also the mtb community still has enough presta valves that refuse to die that using the little threaded adapter which is threaded to the hose is kind of nuts.

Luckily like every thread about this thing mentions, there are a million easier adapters that you can buy. Pre tarrif I ordered a few from china for $4.

Based on the bad seller reviews, I would spend the extra $11 to get the front page deal from yesterday to get it shipped and sold from Amazon.

I went for the 12v skil version at $29. You can also get a 2ah battery and charger for $29 making it less than this. Also it appears from photos that the 12v skil version has a locking quick adapter included, whereas DeWalt and Milwaukee only have the threaded adapters. I also own the Milwaukee 12v inflator. The skil 20v inflator is ~$55Obviously if you're in the DeWalt line then this is a great buy. If you're not married to a battery line then you have other options
this is lot more featureful than skil 12v

Does it have screw in connector for tires or click in?
Screw in, but you can get an adapter. That's what I did. Search for "Air Chuck with Clip Adapter" on Amazon. Two of them for about $6.

Anyone taken delivery yet? Was it Type 1 or the more desirable recent model Type 2.

I now have three of these, 2 are deadlined type 1's. The first I bought lasted about 5 years. The second just until the next use after the 1 yr warranty expired There is a fairly common problem which (~2 years ago) caused the compressor to fail. Repair required replacing a resistor or something simple on the circuit board. But I needed a compressor for a trip so I went ahead and bought another on Jun 16, 2023. This one is a type 2 and is still fully functional, using it about 15 times a year to top off tires on my cars, tractors, garden equipment tires and dually F350 truck.
It's portability makes it worth it to me.
/edit - I'm firmly in the DeWalt camp, ~5K worth of tools and 3K worth of batteries. Now if I could just figure out an easy way to sell the chargers they package with almost everything.

great screw in. Has good grip, better than most. No issues.

PF gave good marks to this unit, 2nd only to the M18 Milwaukee inflator (which is more$$).

If you have Dewalt packs, this is a solid buy.

Yes, I bought the Amazon one $85 and no worries if something is wrong. Returns are much better than having to deal with a 3rd party. Not worth the hassle for $11

Plus a 82% review score on the seller side is pretty low. Does not leave me feeling optimistic about the purchase.

Just ordered this last week for $89 from Amazon! Shame they won't price adjust. Guess I'll be returning and reorder
I chatted online with a rep and they gave me $20 Amazon credit! So I got the best of both worlds. The $69.99 price point and the free shipping last week.

Another satisfied owner of this inflator. I like the versatility of being able to inflate tires or air mattresses or whatever, plus the simple portability with swappable DeWalt batteries.

Note that in addition to the ability to power with DeWalt batteries, this also includes a DC adapter to power from your car's cigarette lighter. It does NOT include an AC adapter to power from a standard 120V wall outlet -- you can buy that adapter separately for about $30.

Wish they would have had this a few months ago. I bought the Meliff (takes Dewalt batteries) off Amazon for $35. Works well for the price, but doesn't have DC if I didn't have a battery handy or AC optionality.

I'm tempted to do the same. But it's about $11 and not sure if I'll bother.
