Yeah, same here. Did you payoff the device and closed the line?
I did, paid off device in Verizon corporate store. Chatted with rep to waive activation fee since this had been such a headache and ported out 2 days later. Final bill has not posted yet but believe they should prorate it (in KY) and probably owe $5-10 dollars.

At&t S24+. Paid off ~10pm friday. Tried sim swap 2 hours later ~12:30AM. Unlock request denied for "The service on your mobile number hasn't been active for at least 60 days".
Doesn't look like this is due to the expected "not paid off yet" messages.
Any pointers?
Also, do really need to wait for 24 hours before requesting unlock again?
It seems the SIM swap is not successful and the s24 is still linked to the account. Maybe do it one more time and make sure the other phone is showing up, reboot that phone,.make some calls/text and the request unlock again

Can I use the same trick on the Verizon version?
No you can't. It's only for ATT for Verizon you have to wait for 60 days after activating on a post paid line.

Ordered a s24 ultra using my upgrade with Verizon. Phone ended up being "damaged" during delivery by ontrac who told me that they disposed of it.. Order was cancelled with no way to get a new one besides having to deal with Verizon to get my upgrade back and wait 3 days to reorder.

This is the reply that I got from the rep.
"As per checking here there is account ending on 2357 but it was tentative means it was not yet activated when you accept the terms and condition for this account may i ask if you still remember the number you input to accept the terms and condition. as long the account is not activated the account will remain tentative."

I asked her what would happen if I don't return the phone to Walmart. She said that at the end of 60 days, I'll get a bill in my email asking me to payoff the device. I asked how much would that amount be. She said $999!!!! So I guess it's better to return the phone? Please advise.
It seems that your phone was not scanned. I'd open a new account altogether with ATT in the ATT store. Provide them IMEI of an unlocked phone if they want and get a physical SIM and use that on S24, do SIM swap and cancel the line and also the previous tentative account if possible.

Ah, if it's the same error I think your best bet is to talk to CS for the unlock code or wait for 60 days and request/chat again.

This is for the ATT unlocked, if you have done all steps with sim swap and wait for 24 hours or after 1am for the next day and you still got the error message when you try to submit the unlock request. Try again with the 2nd IMEI, this time it will work. (This phone have 2 IMEIs, try both, either of them will work. GOOD LUCK!

I keep getting "We are unable to retrieve your account data. Please try again later." when trying to get it as an upgrade on my Veizon account through this deal. Any ideas if I need to call Walmart or Verizon?

It took 3 tries but I was able to cancel att through chat. I got an email saying the number is no longer associated and it says no service on my unlocked iphone and no lines on myatt. So did I do it correctly? The bill is still the same and the rep said I should be getting a final bill with prorated charges.
I shouldn't have waited too long until the ultra sold out. My local store has it but I'm not sure if it's worth it to deal with canceling service with support again. This is for my dad who really only calls, text, FB and YouTube. Is it worth it or that much of an upgrade from plus to ultra if he plans to keep it for years or until it dies?

My fear is that if I'm not able to cancel the tentative account, what will happen?

Yeah, that's a good advice. Try with both IMEIs

If he does not use camera that much plus is good enough.

If that account does not have an activated line, it should phase it out by itself but I can't say for sure. These questions are better answered by ATT reps at the store. They should be able to cancel all accounts and might suggest tentative will eventually get cancelled.

I ordered another phone on the 12th and got the phone this morning, paid it off already, created and account with VZ and I can see the line and the phone 100% paid off. When the 3 days is going to be over? from the day I purchased the phone or when I turned on and activated the phone? Should I just go through the chat and cancel the line now or wait until Monday?
