I tried to purchase S24 and within Walmart site opted for sign up for ATT. After processing it says 'we werent able to approve your application. To learn more, call ATT at...' What does this mean? I have my credit frozen, is it because of that? Plz help thanks.
You have to have your credits unfrozen for the soft check.

Ohh. I thought soft could go without that. Also, I did receive and email from ATT to confirm my email twice(I tried twice). It has some account number(assuming ATT). Does that mean ATT already have an account created for me? Oh man! I am now freaking out. What is the right course of action? Do I call ATT and cancel those two? And retry at Walmart after unfreeze my credit? Plz help thank you

When the line is actually created you will get another email so it's possible an account is created but not a line. You should call ATT and verify.

No, this is for ATT postpaid so you will have to open a new account, pay off and cancel.
Thanks for the reply. I'm new to this as I've always purchased my phones unlocked.

Would I be able to use the same number on my pre-paid account after the phone is unlocked or would I need to port over?

It will be an ATT locked phone so you should be able to use it even without unlocking on an ATT prepaid account but I'd unlock it first. You can keep using your same number. The new ATT postpaid account is only created (later cancelled) to get the phone.

6/19: Ordered Verizon S24U.
6/22: Received phone and activated
6/23: Paid off $432 at Verizon store. Port out to Tello. Line is automatically disconnected.
6/28: Received final bill of $56.xx. They did not cancel the $35 activation fee.

Looks like they count 3 days from the day of shipping and not the day you activate on the Verizon network. Any chance that they will take the activation fee off from the final bill?
I was able to waive off all fees through a chat. The first rep was not helpful and wasted 1h of my time. Tried again after a few days and got a good rep who removed all charges. Started chat through X (twitter).

6/18: Ordered Verizon S24U. Paid $382 + $27 tax
6/23: Received phone and activated.
6/23: Paid off the remaining $50 at Verizon store. Port out to US Mobile (1 month trial). Line disconnected in Verizon and activated in US Mobile within a few mins.
6/28: Received final bill of $57.31, which included activation fee and reversal of some discount.
6/30: Unsuccessful chat with a rep for an hour.
7/11: Chat with a rep who reversed all charges without asking any questions. He got approval from his supervisor during our chat , so I didn't need to follow up again! I see a bill of around $9 now, which he said are taxes, which will be removed at the end of the cycle.

So I don't need to pay anything! Got the phone for $459 with taxes!

I was ordering Samsung S24 Ultra from Verizon on 7/5 and just got delivered today. I activated the phone and made some calls. There is no SIM card with the phone. So it's activated by esim. I could see the phone under my account. Then I went to Verizon corporate store to pay it off. But the agent there told me that right now, there is no option to pay it off by cash under my account. She showed me her pad which shows that it's not payable until July 21st. I am wondering whether Verizon changed the procedure?

Anyone having trouble with Walmart cancelling the order shortly after purchase confirmation? I'm on Verizon, using an upgrade to buy outright to use on one of my Verizon lines.

Tried it 4x.

Thanks for your link. Fully prepared before I went to another verizon store. But this time it became an quite easy job. The agent just asked my info and made a request through his pad. He seems to be familiar with the procedure and doesn't need to call customer service line to request. I got a link to allow it to proceed. Made a cash pay-off. Done!

I walked into a Verizon store, they said they could not let me pay at the store if it is purchased from a third party. They said I need to link my verizon account and pay online. I am unable to link the new number to the verizon account. Can anyone please suggest what should I do?

Interesting. Is your chat button active on your Verizon account? Mine is disabled after I ported out. Also when I contact by phone the reps don't seem to have my account. One of the reps said my account is now transferred to a collections agency. Not sure why even though due date for the final bill is still few days away. I'll try chatting on Twitter.
