I have owned v8, v10, v11

1. V8 has smaller trash bin. <<< V10 <<< V11

2. V10 and V11 has easier official docking station. both out of stock. Often found on FB market place. V10 you need to pull the vac apart to dock it, v11, you can just dock it. V10 holds more accesories.

3. V11 is bigger and a bit heavier.

4. I bought V10 on refrub on same from ebay. works fine for almost 2 years now. V11 I bought it for a friend's house. ( he requested I found a deal for him ). I prefer v10 because I have a lot of attachments.

V11 at this price is good.
Funny you bring that up, the trigger on my v11 broke like a week ago. Apparently the trigger is known to break on these; replacement triggers are plentiful online.
I managed to replace it with a metal one, did the repair myself. It wasn't a trivial repair either, you have to basically take the entire thing apart to access it.

Given coupon code worked, initially there were issues which didnt resolve after clearing cache and cookies, but continued as Guest and then used Paypal checkout then it allowed to keep the coupon, otherwise it said coupon isn't valid at the very end.
Worked!

Ordered the v10 yesterday, can't get coupon code to work. Debating if worth upgrading to v11 still?

you don't need to pull a V10 apart to dock it, only to empty it.

I'm talking about official Free standing dock. not the wall attachment

I've had my V8 for 7 years. Only issues were battery (switched to Milwaukee batteries since I already have a lot) and the air filter housing broke off because a kid dropped it (fixed with some hot staples). Other than that, still runs like a champ and even longer run time with the Milwaukee batteries.

Thanks — please share the adapter you purchased. Got a few Ryobi I want to leverage. Thanks will hang up now and listen.

V11 at this price is good.

Thanks— the attachments differ from v10 to v11? I've seen where an older Dyson chorded vacuum has attachments that don't work with handheld. Appreciate your feedback.

Usually I just empty the vacuum outside on my porch/deck into a produce bag. That way even if there's a small dust cloud, it doesn't matter.
Yup, I make sure I'm at least 20 feet away from the closest door or window of the home while in the backyard, wearing a P99 respirator and full sleeve shirt, clothes that would immediately go into the laundry. After emptying, I also wipe the inside out to make it look new and then dry it out for a couple of hours (to prevent internal mold growth) before I reassemble the parts back. I'm frankly tired of it.

Does the auto empty tank really work?
Yes it does. Pretty simple. It has a hepa filter. I have it in the laundry room where there is an exhaust fan so when the auto emptying is happening I keep the exhaust fan on and the door shut to prevent the sub hepa level particles entering the rest of the home.
