I have owned v8, v10, v11

1. V8 has smaller trash bin. <<< V10 <<< V11

2. V10 and V11 has easier official docking station. both out of stock. Often found on FB market place. V10 you need to pull the vac apart to dock it, v11, you can just dock it. V10 holds more accesories.

3. V11 is bigger and a bit heavier.

4. I bought V10 on refrub on same from ebay. works fine for almost 2 years now. V11 I bought it for a friend's house. ( he requested I found a deal for him ). I prefer v10 because I have a lot of attachments.

V11 at this price is good.
Funny you bring that up, the trigger on my v11 broke like a week ago. Apparently the trigger is known to break on these; replacement triggers are plentiful online.
I managed to replace it with a metal one, did the repair myself. It wasn't a trivial repair either, you have to basically take the entire thing apart to access it.

I bought a Dyson V7 and after 2 years the beater stopped working and can't be fixed. It seems these are made to fail after a couple years. It worked great for those 2 years, but I'm not sure it's worth buying a new one every few years. I'm pretty handy and could not fix it
I've had my V8 for 7 years. Only issues were battery (switched to Milwaukee batteries since I already have a lot) and the air filter housing broke off because a kid dropped it (fixed with some hot staples). Other than that, still runs like a champ and even longer run time with the Milwaukee batteries.

Only the purchase from eBay has "Two-year warranty included" which is serviced by Allstate. Although Dyson will honor at least 6 months, after which you can defer to eBay/Allstate to probably refund the amount paid.

Just got the V15 for $350 refurbed, latest tech. Would recommend, the fluffy head with laser is pretty nifty for hard floors. I've had the V10 previously for 6+ years, got it like $370 at Costco. I've gotten a new battery (3 screw swap), replaced the bin, and a few other DIY things but it just wont die after 6+ years. Still works great. V15 seems to incorporate quite a few quality of life things.
Had the V10 for 3.5+ years with fluffy roller and normal roller and both have hair stuck on the mini rollers on it that are a pain to clear out, otherwise they don't spend and drag on the floor. Do the newer roller have mini wheel stuck problem?

Also Torque Drive Complete also on sale for $249.99. What's the difference between this (Torque Drive+) and Torque Drive complete?

Looks like only difference is accessories. Plus comes with 8 and complete comes with 6. Complete shows a $50 lower retail price too.

does anyone know what is return policy on ebay? On dyson and walmart websites it shows as 30 days while eBay has an FAQ with a Returns section that is blank.. thanks in advance.

I ordered one over the weekend and it says eligible for free return until July 2. However, I'm unclear if it has to have something wrong with it to return it. I messaged Dyson on eBay 24 hours ago and still no response. Ordered the animal 10+ for $42 cheaper and decided I want this one instead so ordered this yesterday. Hoping I have no issues returning the animal V10+.

Wake me up when Dyson cordless vacuums have an emptying station. I had a V11 that broke in a couple of years unfortunately and it was a nightmare emptying the bin due to the dust cloud.

Got a shark with auto empty tank and while that addresses the dust issue, the Shark's suction is not super great— so we use the shark for general purpose cleanup (80% of the times) and a corded vacuum for those heavy duty whole house days in conjunction with roombas for the smaller bedrooms

bought a Dyson V10 Absolute Cordless Vacuum | Copper | Refurbished for $279.99 from Walmart back in June 2020. Still use it everyday no major issues. Just replaced filters and clean it over the years.

I would like to ask, in this price range, is v11 the most cost-effective?

My wife wanted a new vacuum recently, and we looked into a lot of these stick vacs. What we learned is, this should not be your primary vacuum. All vedors lie about how long the battery lasts. Sure, it might almost meet their specs on low power, but you won't want to use low power. High power is needed to do some half-decent cleaning, and you'll be doing good for it to last more than 10 minutes per battery on high. You'll want to be plugged into the wall for any real cleaning.
These devices are great for cleaning up a quick mess, but not for a whole house real clean. I watched some videos from a vacuum cleaner repair guy, who was very non-partial to brands, and he demonstrated putting some dirt on the carpet, and then cleaning it up with one of these. Then he used a plug-in vacuum, and picked up a LOT of stuff that was left behind.
These are cool for quick clean ups, but not a replacement for a good vacuum.

Plug in vacuums are so 2008. Yea plug in vacuums draw more power and they are also very loud. My old V8 will pick up any dirt on my rug as long as I go over it a few times. No biggie. I don't have to worry about plugging in a cable and I dread rolling up that cable back up. $250 is a no brainer.

I would order it but my V8 still sucks (literally).

eBay offers a two-year warranty. I bought a V10 Animal+ in July 2023, and it just stopped working a few days ago. I tried using the Allstate warranty, and surprisingly, the process was very easy and straightforward. The website already had the items I purchased from eBay listed— I just needed to click the "File a Claim" button. The product is now under repair, and I'm not sure yet if it can be fixed.

We ended up buying a corded Sebo, and every time she uses it I think "Wow, I can't believe how quiet that vacuum is". It was more than $250, though, but it does include a 10 year warranty.
Battery tech has come a long way, but corded vacuums are eternal. And you won't have to replace the battery.

FWIW, we own several Dyson products. They're pricey but perform well. I can't comment on this specific deal, but I've bought two refurbished Dyson vacuums on eBay, and both failed—one within 5 months, the other near the one-year mark. The hassle came from Dyson requiring SquareTrade for repairs, which was a nightmare. Just something to keep in mind.
Did anyone else get the message that said "seller has made changes to the item description" upon checkout? I still bought it... But curious

Bummer. Bought the V10 animal + yesterday for 207.99 after the memorial day coupon. It conveniently dropped to basically the same price today *eye roll*

May have upgraded to this for an extra $42 had I known. Too late to cancel, just shipped.

Can't return the one once it arrives?
