thanks op,
my amex blue cash has $50 for $250 and blue business has 13% cash back from dell. I used both cc for $93 statement credit. plus I used dell $50 reward and 10% coupon ($65 off). after tax, total $493 and if i get 5% from cb site, it will be about 462. I guess i will sell or trade in ps5 slim disc. pretty happy with deal.

Thank you so much OP! FYI... the Dell $100 statement credit didn't show up on my AMEX account, but I was able to speak to someone at AMEX who was able to manually put the offer on for me. Between that, plus the 10%, plus cashback, im gonna be able to get cost to under $500.

Lucky! I just tried chatting with AMEX and they wouldn't add to my account

Does anyone have a spare 10% coupon? I signed up twice but got nothing so far.

Dell does not honor CB when coupons were used. In my case, CB was showing pending balances, but it disappeared before I could cash out. See also https://www.reddit.com/r/urlhasbe...k_for_ps5/
But there is no downside for trying. Just don't buy it because of CB.

I have always thought about upgrading to PS5 targeting the Slim Astrobot for $449. Doing the math of comparing this vs the PS5 Pro (before taxes)

PS5 Disc Slim = 449 + 100 (1 TB expansion) = 549
PS5 Pro (with 2TB) = 650 - 10% (Signup) = 585 - 100 (AMEX) = 485 + 80 (Disc) = 565

I think the PS5 pro is a better buy?

Called AMEX yesterday, the agent was no help in helping me out with giving that Dell.com offer to my card. Called again today, this agent was a bit more helpful and put in a "ticket" with the offers team to review my card and potentially give me the dell.com offer in a few days. Hopefully this deal still exists by then.

A 1TB PS5 Slim digital with a free game costs $400. A 2TB PS5 Pro digital costs $650, no free game.Considering it is easy to upgrade the storage on a PS5 with a NVMe, is the PS5 Pro worth the $250 upcharge? If you need a disc drive, then it's:1TB PS5 with disc drive & game: $450vs2TB PS5 PRO+ disc drive: $650 + $80 = $730A $280 upcharge.I'm not considering the Dell Amex offer in the comparison because with taxes, a $450 PS5 will be upwards of $500 to trigger the same offer (or you could add some filler to get it past that threshold)
For the average person, it probably isn't worth the upgrade. With this particular deal though, I'd say one would be silly not to go the Pro route. A bit over $500 shipped after CB for a Pro that has 2x the storage...I'm guessing this will be the lowest price one will be able to buy a new Pro for over the remainder of the generation. If it isn't the lowest, it'll be close.

If you can get a PS5 Pro for anywhere close to the price of a base PS5 it is a no brainer IMO.

Recently bought a 77 inch C3 and I was considering upgrading from a disc fat PS5 to a PS5 pro for Ghosts of Yotei but I am having trouble justifying the upgrade simply because the Pro doesn't have a drive and most of my games are physical. I could sell my PS5 and make some money back, but 530 w/o a disc drive is killing it for me.
Cough up the extra...it's worth it. Thank me later 😁

If anyone ordered from Dell, can you provide the shipping box dimensions (and weight). Presumable that info will be on the shipping label if it came via Fedex or UPS. Trying to avoid paying a crazy sales tax rate if I can.

How would you be able to avoid sales tax?
