Unless you see BPF-BPS free too, it's best to pass. I was about to get them a few days ago, but decided against it.
Ball is doing something odd. You can't get their stainless steel lids (you can get chinese ones, but..), you can't get their "regular" mouth wooden lids, and they're just limiting stock.
Not that anyone asked, but you can get the regular mouth wooden lids that say "mason" on them. Certainly more expensive that this deal (and this price has been there for weeks now).

These are not dishwasher, or really even hand wash, safe. I wipe them with a wet towel and dry them off with a clean towel.
I wouldn't recommend these for storing anything wet, like a sauce. My suggestion is dry cooking ingredients that you would use frequently. Maybe even things like cotton balls or cosmetic things.
Dry things that are used often, which don't need refrigeration or a cranked on seal.
For tea and coffee, these have been fantastic. I like how the lip on top helps with stacking.
I though the were before I click. I still might use for coasters lol.
These seal great. I still use the canning lids for liquids, but these are great for dried goods. Also have a nice low profile when fitted
I don't expect them to have a perfect seal so I only use with stuff I use regularly.
I use ball and mason jars for many things, including dry seeds, nuts, Parmesan, but I'll also use them to freeze extra sauces, salsa, etc. I'm also using Pyrex, and Anchor for food storage but I do my best to make sure there's no contact between the plastic lid and the contents.
I also have some stainless steel containers with plastic and silicone lids, and the same caution applies about being careful of food contact. It's impossible, or maybe just unfeasible in some cases, to get away from plastic completely, but it's worth trying.

I do not doubt the seal is sufficient for dry goods, but would avoid wet due to the potentially porous and less than washable wood.
