Last time they had this they considered cheese to be a topping, so an actual 1-topping pizza was extra. Also, they gave you a coupon code but it didn't work, you had to click through from the message in the app to get the free pizza.

And they basically keep losing, and losing. While I don't always agree with people saying that some company's quality has gone downhill, Pizza Hut's clearly has over the years. Charging extra for pan crust, which was the one thing they used to be known for, was off-putting, changing the iconic pan crust to doughy garbage was worse, and cheapening ingredients while tossing out all quality standards was the final straw. The chain that defined pizza for me in my youth is now not even a choice of last resort. Maybe one of these deals will be tempting enough to give it another try, but this isn't it.

Last time they had this they considered cheese to be a topping, so an actual 1-topping pizza was extra. Also, they gave you a coupon code but it didn't work, you had to click through from the message in the app to get the free pizza.

In a previous similar promotion, the reward pizza was "Delivery Only". Hopefully someone will update if this is the same.

Thanks. Once someone has the coupon hopefully they can confirm. Extremely deceptive if it's delivery only.

They are probably being paid by DoorDash, Ubereats, etc. That is how they are able to give the pizza for free.

Sounds like someone screwed something up or there was a glitch though. A cheese pizza is a cheese pizza, a one topping pizza is a cheese pizza with one extra topping.
