I have Verizon home internet and looked into this for traveling awhile back, and most people that tried it reported that their hardware was geofenced to their home address and it wouldn't work; on the other hand, most people that tried the same thing with T-Mobile home internet were able to use theirs while traveling. Though I believe your contract in any case requires it only be used at the home address or your service can be terminated. I was going to try it out on my last road trip, but I ultimately didn't because I could add using my phone as a mobile hotspot to my plan for $10 and that was more than adequate and didn't risk getting my best option for home internet locally terminated.

Yup. I'm $40/mo for 300/300 and it feels like the only true deal in tech I've gotten in years. FIOS is unbelievably good. Rock solid

I currently use my own router -- an Asus RT-AX86U. And have an older router as a mesh node. I see that if I use my router and decline theirs, I get a $0 discount. In the past the Verizon router had an internal antenna, and I got better range with mine. So unless I am going to get TV service with a DVR, should I keep using my own router?
EDIT: I'll add that I use Merlin firmware running a VPN Server and Client, VPN Director, and some port forwarding, And as I mentioned before, a mesh node.
nvm, it is price lock for 3 years. It is a 6-month term for getting the bounties. Not bad if you like keep switching the internet provider.
