Good price, good specs. Don't know about the quality or how good the vendor is about taking return for a defective laptop.

Good price for desktop replacement (since the battery will suck with an HX chip) but I still think the TUF with Ryzen 5 deal is a bit better for $70 less. Specs are very comparable and while the Ryzen CPU is definitely worse performing, it won't hinder the 4060 much, while giving noticeably better battery.

I hate to be that guy but this is not my wheel house and I'm sure others have the same question. I realize it is not available now at the $700 price but how does it compare to the Asus A16 [bestbuy.com]

My plan has been to wait and hope for that price again unless something better appears.

Is this is closer to the a15 from staples?

From my understanding lenovo may be better built. So that and being available now make this a good sale price?

Appreciate any knowledge

Edit. Apparently I didn't submit in time to beat SDJP Appreciate your knowledge

How would this do for strategy games like Stellaris and such? I haven't played PC games in a while and would probably mostly play older games through Steam and using an external monitor (Samsung 49").
Would this be enough to power it these days or what would be needed? Figure upgrade to 32 GB or 64 GB RAM maybe?
Trying not to break the bank as I just want something I can game on but nothing crazy. I had an old Dell G3 setup like 5 years ago that was very mid range but played most stuff ok.. it doesn't want to play nice anymore so thinking its time for something new!

I don't have sins 2 or stellaris but I would imagine it would run fine based on sins requirement and being able to turn the graphics down so much in that game. I used to run it on igp fine
