Apple charges a huge premium for upgrades - for the vast majority of normal users, the $450 16GB/256GB Mac Mini is by far the best deal. In 2 years or so just trade it back in to Apple for $200-$300 back, and get the latest $450 Mac Mini M7 or whatever for the difference.

Good price compared to Apple's MSRP but +8gb ram and +256gb should not be costing $400 over the base model in 2025 lol
