I was able to order the Excellent condition for $809. The $737 in fair condition was 2 hours away. Given you can't call the store to confirm, I decided not to gamble and order for delivery.

Now will need to compare it with my current Yamaha Rx-A3070 and decided which one to keep, which one to flip (or return)

You'll have to give us your comparison impression when you get the chance.

After spending close to 2 weeks of evaluating, I am not that impressed. Even after running full calibration using Dirac Live, I am not fully convinced it produces better quality sound than my Yamaha Rx-A3070. The only thing going for it is it is newer and more future-proof with an ability to pass 8K and couple of newer formats. Other than that, it seems somewhat struggling with my ML ESLs as I have to crank the volume all the way to 75% while my Yamaha was doing well under 50%.

Not too surprised.
Had a friend come up with a similar conclusion with a 3080 vs AVR31 with his Arendal setup.

He offered the 31 to me for $1500, said no thanks!

I used to have that series of Yamaha AVR and found a great improvement with Dirac. Maybe try playing with the Dirac curves a bit more.

Yeah, after I re-connected my Yamaha back, I realized Arcam indeed sounded better. Unfortunately I did not have enough time on my hands to properly test them side by side and already returned the Arcam. And BB price is twice as high for open box right now Frown
