Poor screen , only 60 Hz, and low brightness.

Unfortunately Costco doesn't sell the 120Hz screen versions.

Does it costs the same?

Is it worth $400-$500 additional for the screen upgrade? Or do they hit this price level?

I bought it, regardless of the screen. I have an old 2in1 Gram from Costco that has served me well. I needed the bump in processor and ram but don't normally go up to 17". It's still very lightweight, so it might not be an issue. We will see. Thanks, op.✌️

A 60 Hz screen on an Arc140v laptop at $1400 just doesn't seem right. I just got a laptop with the same processor and a 120 Hz Oled for $630.

320 nits is not exactly "dull"..lol. Thats the internet telling u...

Tons of laptops out there with 300 nits and they are fine. It's just in outside light, the screen may fare average but no one really sits outside in a park to do schoolwork. Almost everyone uses laptop indoors.

And it's still a IPS screen so overall, should be a uniform screen. Look at the Bestbuy reviews and lots of people have posted screenshots and the brightness is totally fine indoors.

This is not a gaming laptop. If that is what you are looking for keep looking. But if you are looking for a good work laptop, productivity, software development etc. it would be very hard to beat this.

When on the road, I use my LG Gram for software development. I need to see a lot of text on one page without having to scroll like a mad man. And the 17" screen comes in really handy. And it being extremely lightweight means I can easily pick it up with one hand and go.

There is no other 17" laptop that weighs so little.
