They gave it a crappier LED and a Craftsman battery but it slightly outperformed the DeWALT XR tool it was based on in Torqued Test Channel rankings.

I've had a Craftsman Evolve drill as my go-to for about a decade; picked it up on a clearance rack at a Sears Outlet when those still existed. I won't pretend it's the greatest power tool in the history of tools, but it was/is more than serviceable for most around the house jobs and minor car work. I've kept an eye on replacement deals for the last few weeks and I already have a few V20 compatible products, so this makes a ton of sense while not costing as much as a Milwaukee Fuel or DeWalt (which would be an overpay for my needs).
