Mine worked great for about a year before the speaker became distorted. Wished it was just a little louder for listening to podcasts in the shower to more distinctly understand voices. The clip is beyond handy and love how you can hang it anywhere.

Have been debating on the clip 4 vs the go 4, and actually pulled the trigger on the go 4 yesterday over this.
The Go 4 is nearly the same price, has a smaller form factor, can stand "upright" on a flat surface (clip cannot) and the go 4 can be clipped using a simple climbing clip and serve the same functionality as the clip 4. Heard mixed reviews on the clip failing prematurely too which was enough reason to look at other models.

I loved this speaker, but I used it in the outdoors for about two month (never wet) and the clip broke off. JBL said it was out of coverage and not worth buying a new one for me. I would recommend one with a clip that will not dry/crack in the sun and warmth.

I have been using this speaker soley in my shower for a year and half now. Surprisingly no issues with it. Hate that there's no way to go to previous songs though.

People looking for JBL products know dam well it ain't JBL quality sound if it doesn't say JBL. 😔 Probably end up giving that away to someone outside after you've heard quality speakers.

Anon Speaker Reviews can be real bad cause you have a tiny portion of people who know a lot about what they are talking. But mostly people who are buying their first audio product for theirself at age 23. I've also seen Amazon remove reviews that hurt sales. But on a jbl post; this Is kinda amusing 😁

I had this for couple years, the built quality is not good, buttons glue gradually fall out, bluetooth pairing is not easy. sound is ok,

I grabbed the Soundcore Select 4 Go Bluetooth Shower Speaker by Anker for 20 for hiking and am very happy with it for what it is. In particular the battery life is excellent, whereas this is reputed to be bad in that regard. Just use the EQ to enhance the mid and treble and roll off the bass a bit or the little speaker will distort as it is tiny so there are very real physical limits to what it can do. Don't think you can scoop it with bass up high as it wont do that well at all.

I like JBL speakers too so nothing against them. Still rocking my excellent Charge 2+ and a Flip 5 I think it is for the beach bag/travel.
