Anybody have insights on this vs the G727 (7800X3D, 5070Ti, $1680) Ideally want something more for productivity I can still play ps6 level games on

This should be better for productivity over the G727 and will be good enough for gaming. First, 5GbE wired networking, second twice the amount of RAM, third, better multithreaded performance for productivity.

This motherboard will also support 3 additional M.2 drives if you need it.

My son wants to game and daughter to learn Photoshop Illustrator and other animation software.

Good use for both purposes? I'm thinking so.

One in my area too. Idk if this will stay relevant through 4 years of high school though…

Thoughts on this, Slickdealers?

It should still be relevant 4 years from now given those specs.

To be fair, technology is progressing fast enough that staying relevant is hard even after 6 months.

There's always going to be something marginally better for potentially less than it cost a year ago (well, at least before these tariffs).

In 4 years, it may not run every game at the highest graphics settings and Adobe may come out with some new AI demo feature that requires a newer GPU, but it won't be entirely destined for the landfill.

And if you really want to extend the life of the system, keep your son off of these tech YouTuber channels. They're the worst perpetrators of accelerated obsolescence.

AMD processor vs Intel. He is saying he prefers the AMD for cost and speed.
And is mostly incorrect

The last paragraph there is 100% it. I'm running a 1080ti and it's still able to play most modern games at medium to high settings.

I would not buy a 13 or 14th generation Intel CPU.

I pulled the trigger on this open box for 1463 -> it would've been 1563 but I was promised everything in box (keyboard, power cord, antenna) and only received the tower itself so I got $100 off. Plus, microcenter support is shipping me the missing antenna + power cord ( already had these things laying around at home so it wasn't a problem). Cheapest 5070ti prebuilt ever I guess
