This seems like a solid deal. Good motherboard. Tempted as local/offline AI box (ala ComfyUI).

How does this compare to https://www.microcenter.com/produ...Windows_11

PowerSpec G455 vs. PowerSpec G753

753 is higher than 455, so does that make it better?

Wish it had more Type-C ports and not just 1, but otherwise, very solid specs for the price.

AMD processor vs Intel. He is saying he prefers the AMD for cost and speed.

I was looking for a PC for work at home primarily with an added bonus as a decent gaming system.

I know the PowerSpec AMD builds are a better deal for this recent sale, but I went with this G455 as it was a newer chipset than the G480 (14900KF), and Intel seems to be higher rated for work/productivity related tasks than AMD.

I did a bunch of research on these parts recently and ended up building my own, but had I seen these(the main deal listed and the AMD computer another user listed in the comments), I probably would've gone with one of them as they are much better priced.

Between the two, the main intel deal has the better graphics card. Here is a in depth review and comparison between the 5070 TI and 9070 XT graphics cards: https://gamersnexus.net/gpus/amd-...conclusion
but basically the 5070 TI came out on top for gaming performance.

CPU-wise, the AMD CPU is better for gaming, but the intel while still alright for gaming, has better multithreading performance for non-gaming tasks. You'd probably see better gaming performance on the intel machine since it has the better graphics card, despite the CPU being worse for gaming.

I also like having more RAM, and the intel machine has 64GB while the AMD only comes with 32GB(though you could another two sticks and snap them in, just make sure to get the exact same type/brand/timings as what it comes with to avoid any issues)

Both are solid machines with excellent prices, but since they're both gaming machines, I'd say the intel would give you better gaming performance if you can afford the extra $230ish price.

Anybody have insights on this vs the G727 (7800X3D, 5070Ti, $1680) Ideally want something more for productivity I can still play ps6 level games on

My son wants to game and daughter to learn Photoshop Illustrator and other animation software.

Good use for both purposes? I'm thinking so.

One in my area too. Idk if this will stay relevant through 4 years of high school though…

Thoughts on this, Slickdealers?
