Footrest is manually extendable and spring loaded. Does that mean the foot rest is constantly pushing back against your feet?

I want to try before buying.

There are people on sd who would spend 4 figures blind?

Totally agree. I tried one of these massage chairs once, and it did something to my back so that it bruised and hurt badly for a week. Wife too. We were both literally in pain for several days.

I would absolutely never buy one of these without trying it out - a few times.

Just ordered two more of these to give to my parents and in-laws. Got a chair and a bed from them a year ago and everyone that comes over fights using them. Great service, quick and easy delivery, and their support is very responsive to questions.

I bought a chair, an Osaki, and I love my chair. I use it almost daily for long periods of time. I can't speak to this particular chair though, and it's $1500 for a 3D chair. They had a 4D one for $1800 and it's still available.

Of course, your mileage my vary, and if you're not sure, I suggest going to a massage chair store (and try it out). If you can support them if they're willing to match prices and etc.

Titan is the off brand of Osaki which is the best in the industry. Regarding the spring loaded footrest, yes it does push back against you the whole time. This only becomes a problem only at certain angles when your doing zero gravity or laying completely backwords. I bought my Osaki for about $2600 before white glove delivery and it has been amazing. I use it weekly and the wife uses it multiple times a week. Regarding the brusing/pain, this really depending on the person and the sensitivity of the person. If you haven't gotten a massage in years and your muscles are really tight, you will experience pain and discomfort for a few days. There are certain massage modes that hit certain spots harder for me vs my wife. You just have to play with the massage types and the intensity levels for yourself. Generally speaking, I would highly recommend it. Friends and family that come over usually like to use it (like repeat users). It is not for everyone but if you experience heavy physical activity, this helps reduce soreness by a day or two and I think that alone is worth what I paid for it.
For reference, I got the Osaki OS - 4D Pro Soho II for $2400+ $250 for delivery on April of 2024.

Since this isn't explicitly mentioned, I would assume it's not leather. If it is 'PU leather' -- don't buy it. If you want to know why, look up what PU leather looks like after a couple of years.

I like it a lot. Just feel that the number of programs aren't as wast as I thought, and I wish it had calf massages. The one they have does something, but I cannot tell that it is. Beyond that, I really like it. Hit's some really good spot.
The only thing I wonder is, why on earth are these chairs seemingly so archaic when it comes to the remote. Seems like we need a better "computer brain".

Since competition in the free market is fierce, I'll throw in a boba on top of the 5 visits at my place

I totally want one, but would take 12.5 years for this to "break even" for me vs $10/mo massage add-on to my EoS gym membership. As I get older, it's easier to convince myself to get to the gym for a massage and sometimes stay for a workout.
I should note, these seem very very similar to the ones at my gym. Usually only 1 or 2 is functional at any given time. Extended warranty definitely recommended!!

I have this, paid almost doubled.
At this price point, it is a no brain.
I am about 2y into using it, gets used every day, multi times a day, it's a trooper.
