my yard is only 300 sqft, Do I still need this or "40V 16" Cordless Battery Push Lawn Mower w/ 4.0Ah Battery & Charger" is good enough for me?40V 16" is only $178 on their site as of now using the coupon.
The 40V would do fine for your situation - the 60V would be overkill. If I had 300 sqft of grass I would just use a reel mower to negate battery degradation concerns over time and save the electricity, but that's just my frugal side talking.

Solid deal. I believe I have a slightly older revision of the same 60v model. But I have had it bog down compared to a gas mower when cutting thick or tall grass. If you don't have a ton of thick weeds or let the grass grow too long before mowing, it's ideal. Low maintenance.
I may have the same one. Purchased in May 2020.

This is true. Thick long grass, wet grass. The mower will jam up and turn off. It also kills the battery to finally finish.

Something I found that really helps is to use both the grass bag in the back, and open the hole for the grass to shoot out the side. When the grass has 2 exit points it's less likely to jam up. Not ideal, but it's better than jamming up when the grass is too long/wet.

I just bought this today. My lawn is also about 300 sqft and I've been using a German made push mow for 20 yrs now. The push mow works but requires multiple passes esp if the lawn is long.

Oh see I don't even bag mine at all, just let it mulch it for fertilizer. It can still clog up. But in fairness, I'd say I inherited a lawn that's 30% crabgrass and haven't wanted to go through the expense of resodding. I'm still happy with it overall. Works great when things aren't growing like crazy, like once the summer heat kicks in and the rain gets less frequent

I've got a 1200 sq ft lawn that runs slight up hill. The grass is pretty think and it's getting to be an ordeal pushing my old gas mower up and down. (Good exercise though). Would this fit the bill?
I have the 80v and a steep hill and I have to turn the speed to less than half or I am chasing after the lawnmower. It can move way faster than me. Take not I do not run marathons just a normal simple person. If you run marathons then maybe it can be slow for you.

I'm looking to go battery, but extra batteries for this seem prohibitively expensive. I don't even see the 5Ah that comes with it offered, and a 4 Ah is $199. There's a 5ah "Pro" for $250.

Price has got to be right. All greenworks mowers from the lowend to high end uses plastic gears which is no good for parts that apply torque. These are disposable throw away machines to clog up your landfill and then you keep buying. Its the chinese subscription model.

Electric has it's place, but almost every one of those points is false.
Durable is an issue with the plastic body and gears. I want to switch to electric, but been holding off for something better in the future. The Snapper 21" self propeller that I bought from Sears 10+ years still going strong. The only thing I did was replace the damage gas cap and do oil change once recently.

My yard and parkway together is about 500-600 sq ft and I've been using the Fiskars Reel Mower the last 7-8 years, and I'm thrilled with it. Can do the whole lawn in 7 mins if it's not too long and it's good exercise too. I wipe each of the 5 blades and stationary blade down with WD-40 after each use. It still cuts the grass great, looks like a golf course after I'm done
