Pretty good deal, thx OP
I have the Crossfire 10x42 and the Diamondback HD 10x42 (newer version of Diamondback which has supposedly better coatings). I got the OPMOD branding of the Diamondback.
- The Diamondback is lighter and dimensionally smaller. But still heavy enough that it is not too shaky for me.
- The Diamondback's eyecups have halfway-out and fully-out sticky positions, whereas the Crossfire's eyecups slide smoothly. I find the Diamondback's eyecups more satisfying.
- The Diamondback has significantly deeper thumb indents, which I find uncomfortable for some ineffable reason.
- The Diamondback has nice rows of bumps on the outsides of the tubes. So while I don't like the thumb indents, I think I like the overall feel of the Diamondback slightly more.
- The Diamondback shows brighter, more sparkly stars. It's not a big difference, but it's there.
- On illuminated terrestrial objects, sometimes I feel that the Crossfire shows slightly worse images - a tad softer, yellower, duller. But I don't always get that impression, I might be imagining things.
- The size of the central sweet spot is the same and the severity of distortion at the edge of the field is the same.
- The chromatic aberration seems to come in different colors between the two models, but neither is better or worse.
- Ghost images and glare are the same.
- The Diamondback can focus on closer objects.
Perhaps the differences in clarity are due to the HD coatings, and a Crossfire HD would be even closer or indistinguishable in optical performance. Whether to spend the extra money on the Diamondback depends on how comfortably you can part with the money. If you plan to use the binocular outdoors for many years, then a little more money is probably worth it for the weight and size savings alone.Shipping Free

Tip
You can put a . anywhere in your Gmail and websites think its a new address but still goes to your old one. For example. Ogp@gmail and O.gp@gmail will go to the same mailbox but websites see them as 2 different addresses.
