I have both this and the older style pan. They are great, although a little hard to clean effectively in the very corners. The presentation value of showing up with a warm loaf of homemade bread still in this pan is pretty great.

Could anyone who has this please report how wide it is with the handles? I imagine it's 8.5" at the lip. Am wondering if it will fit in my toaster oven.

12 inches at its widest point (handle-to-handle).

Also: the older style is a hair over 10" at its widest point, if you can find one on ebay or a thrift store/etc.

I'd avoid putting acidic foods (e.g., tomatoes) in cast iron cookware, especially for long cook times or refrigeration/storage, as it can break down the seasoning, leading to rust and reduced non-stick properties.

Suggestion: You can use a baking pan for meat loaf, it looks better looking like a tenderloin, then it does a squared off bread loaf Smilie

for ease of cleaning when baking using parchment paper is a way to keep it cleaner !
